Radio Host and Newspaper Columnist Arrested in Alleged Bar Fight

WEST PEORIA - WMBD AM radio personality and Peoria Journal Star columnist Phil Luciano, 45, was arrested Saturday after allegedly getting into a bar fight. It happened at the Owl's Nest in West Peoria.
According to police, Luciano was asked to leave the bar. He did, then returned and hit a man and tore his shirt. Luciano left the bar for a second time, then returned again, hitting a woman. Police say he might have been aiming for someone else and missed.
Luciano was taken to the Peoria County Jail and released on $122 bond. The Peoria County State's Attorney's office is reviewing the case.
WMBD AM Radio initially told us Luciano would be on the air Monday afternoon. They later called back saying a recorded program would air instead.
The Peoria Journal star has no comment.
