WMBD/WYZZ TV – BLOOMINGTON -- Residents, businesses and organizations will come together in Bloomington this weekend to raise awareness of the thousands of missing persons across the country. The event is part of the National Vigil for Hope which takes place across the country every year.
Bloomington organizers say this year's vigil is being held in memory of Jack and Duncan Lietchenburg, who were kidnapped and killed by their father in March. Organizers say it's a way for the whole community to come together and make a difference.
This year's vigil will feature a number of family friendly activities. Local authorities will also be present to provide safety kits and fingerprinting for children. The vigil takes place this Sunday night from 6 – 8pm at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in Bloomington.
