Chicagos hopes of landing the 2016 summer Olympics have been slightly dashed once again.
Just two months after the sudden resignation of U.S. Olympic Committee chief Jim Scherr, the committees longtime head of communications has announced his own exit.
Darryl Seibel released his resignation statement yesterday, saying the move has been under consideration for some time.
Seibel is the fourth key executive to leave the USOC in the past year.
Supporters hoping to bring the Olympics to Chicago are worried the International Olympic Committee will see the departures as signs of instability and discord in the USOC.
