Take Action for Breast Cancer and the Red Cross

WMBD/WYZZ - PEORIA -- You can take action for breast cancer and the Red Cross in a one stop shop.

This year when you pick up your packets for the Race for the Cure, you can donate blood to the Red Cross. It’s the first time the two organizations are joining forces.

“There will be thousands of people out here that can participate, and we would truly encourage not only those who regularly give blood, but those that this might be a first opportunity,” said Susan G. Komen Executive Director Linda Maricle.

The blood drive will take place Thursday from 2:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Northwoods Mall in the Sears Court.
