WMBD/WYZZ -- Peoria - Pastor Harvey Burnett and several other individuals brought complaints to the city attorney's office Friday morning. They're accusing Peoria police, Mayor Jim Ardis and the State's Attorney's office of not responding to recent brutality allegations. Pastor Burnett did not give specifics on any of the cases, but one individual said he was tased and arrested without cause. The man had filed an earlier complaint, but hasn't received a response. WMBD/WYZZ spoke with Peoria Police Public Information Officer Doug Burgess, who says the department responds to every complaint.
