WMBD/WYZZ - PEORIA -- The pinwheel garden at Catholic Charities is a little bluer.

Blue pinwheels were planted this morning to mark recognize April as child abuse prevention month. The Illinois Department of Children and family services says there were more than 111,000 reports of child abuse or neglect last year.

Nearly 90 children died as a result of abuse.
