Peoria School Faces Closure

WMBD/WYZZ TV – PEORIA -- Another District 150 school could be slated to close. District officials met this morning to discuss the closure of Tyng Primary School.

Earlier this week, Superintendent Ken Hinton recommended closing Kingman Elementary next month and Irving Primary at the end of next school year. Those plans will go before the district 150 school board at its meeting next Monday.

School officials say the possibility of closing a high school is still on the table, as the district looks to pull itself out of a major budget deficit.
