Man Dead in Early Morning Shooting

WMBD/WYZZ – PEORIA – A Peoria man is dead after a shooting on Starr Street early Tuesday morning.
27-year-old Lonnie Williams was pronounced dead in the emergency room of OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Another man was also shot and is believed to be in stable condition.
Police responded to the call in the 2100 block of Starr Street on reports of shots fired around midnight. The two men were each taken to OSF. One man was wounded in the chest, the other was shot in the head.
According to reports, the suspect may have fled in a white GMC Envoy.
An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday afternoon for Williams.
