WMBD/WYZZ— Bloomington/Normal— A LeRoy mother is spreading fliers everywhere she can to help bring her two missing sons home. Nine-year-old Duncan and seven-year-old Jack have been missing for nearly three weeks, allegedly kidnapped by their father, Michael Connolly. Amy Leichtenberg and a support system of friends hit the Twin Cities Friday armed with posters and green and blue ribbons, Duncan and Jack's favorite colors.
"I’m just doing anything I can to bring my kids home," Leichtenberg said. "I'm not going to stop until they come home.”
"People have got to be reminded daily that these boys are not home yet or else they're going to forget and people cannot forget until they're home," Brandi Tuley said.
Duncan and Jack have been missing since March 8. Leichtenberg and her friends have been working tirelessly to get them home. The group is also collecting petitions to get the story featured on America’s Most Wanted.
Jack's birthday is coming up April 10, so Leichtenberg says she will continue to do what she can to spread the word, to get her boys home to celebrate.
“Duncan and Jack, if you’re out there, mom loves you, mom loves you to the heavens and back and I’m going to do anything I can to get you home," Leichtenberg said.
