TV – PEORIA -- A group of special pilots are some people's lifeline to medical
treatment. Doctor Bruce Chien is a volunteer for LifeLine Pilots. He flies to
pick people up who need medical help but don't have the means to get to it. He
flew from Peoria to Chattanooga to get 21-year-old Kelly Holbrooks. She needs
to get the Mayo Clinic to get a gastric pace maker. Getting the pace maker will
allow her to live without her feeding tube.
The
Holbrook's family live in a rural town and say they're thankful for the help.
LifeLine pilots will be holding an open house on Saturday, March 28th, at Peoria
International Airport's Byerly Terminal. That will be from 10 AM to 2 in the
afternoon. For more information visit their website.
