WMBD/WYZZ TV – PEORIA -- A Peoria police officer is now on administrative leave without pay. Thirty-three year old Joseph Gray is facing charges of a felony and a misdemeanor.

He was arrested for a DUI and is also accused of kicking out the window of a squad car.

Gray was picked up by police after rolling over his car on Hickory Point Road in Woodford County. On the way to jail, Metamora police officers say he started yelling and kicking the squad car door and window, breaking the glass. Officers say they had to restrain Gray before he was taken to Woodford County Jail. His next court date is April 2.
