Peoria Receives Federal Funds

Peoria is on the receiving end of federal funds as part of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grants to seven Illinois communities. Byrne grants are often used by state and local governments for programs dealing with drug prevention and enforcement, law enforcement information sharing and combating gangs. Peoria will receive 779,744 dollars.
