WMBD/WYZZ TV – PEORIA -- Victims claiming a local priest sexually abused them handed out flyers outside of a Peoria Cathedral in an effort to support their cause. Jeff Jones says he's concerned that Peoria Bishop, Daniel Jenky, will appeal a court ruling. Recently, the Illinois Appellate Court ruled to reinstate the alleged victim’s cases. A lower court had ruled that the plaintiffs did not file their lawsuits within the time allowed. That decision was overruled. Jones says he just wants his day in court. Jones says at least three other victims are also filing a suit against the priest.
