Governor Signs Autism Bill

WMBD/WYZZ -- Chicago - Gov. Rod Blagojevich today signed Senate Bill 934 into law, which provides insurance coverage to parents of children with autism. This new legislation provides coverage for all individuals under age 21 for diagnosis and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD's), up to $36,000 a year. Approximately 26,000 children in Illinois have been diagnosed with Autism.
