A Peoria man, charged in connection with a June 2011 shooting, was convicted Tuesday by a judge rather than a jury following a bench trial. 24 year old Isiah Foster III was on trial on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Foster will be sentenced in May. The shooting victim was hit in the back of the knee in the 2100 block of West Ann. Foster is also charged with possession of a weapon or ammo after his arrest in 2011 during a traffic stop. Foster is also accused of communicating with a witness, who happens to be the victim of the June 2011 shooting. Those two cases are still pending.
