Chuck Grayeb Challenging Barbara Van Auken for Peoria City Council Seat

Chuck Grayeb held three terms as a
city councilman at large. He said he wants to make a return to the council
chambers to focus on the city's budget and security issues.
He said, "The two things that people are
most concerned about would be are they living in a safe neighborhood and how
are the schools and unless we address those twin issues, we're not going to get
the second district moving again."
Current Councilwoman Barbara Van Auken
has been serving the second district since 2005. She said she hopes to be re-elected
so she can continue being a voice for her constituents. "Well, I want to focus
on what I've always focused on which is providing really outstanding
constituent service. When people contact me phone, email, letters or visits, I
want to be there for them and get the situation resolved for them quickly."
