Manito Man Sentenced for Stabbing

MASON CITY- A Manito man, accused of stabbing another man in rural Mason County in 2011, was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in prison but given credit for about a year he's already served in jail. 48 year old Brian Claiborne pleaded guilty in January to attempted murder and aggravated DUI.Police say Claiborne stabbed Shane Rohrer in a fight at the Maple Crest Mobile Home Park in August of 2011. Claiborne allegedly fled the scene, then crashed at the intersection of 2600 North and Manito Roads.
