Father of Late Peoria High School Student In Custody

PEORIA - The father of a Peoria High
School student, who passed away suddenly last month, is in jail.
Darnell Hunter was arrested by Peoria
Police and booked on charges of aggravated battery and unlawful restraint.
Hunter's son, Darnell Hunter, Jr.,
passed away on February 20 from pneumonia and severe sepsis.
The Peoria County Coroner said the
autopsy also showed that his son suffered from malnutrition, mental development
delay and major depressive disorder.
Hunter has not yet been formally
charged.
