Fitness Exam Ordered in Galesburg Fatal Stabbing

A Knox County judge Wednesday ordered a fitness exam for an Oneida man, charged with a fatal stabbing in Galesburg in January. 25 year old Kai Lefler is facing nine felony charges, including four counts of murder, two counts of second degree murder, and single counts of involuntary manslaughter, possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated battery. Lefler was arrested hours after 23 year old Robert Gilgore was stabbed on Chestnut Street. Lefler is back in court for a fitness hearing April 10th.
