Community Raises Money for Cancer Patient

PEORIA- The community came together Saturday to rally around a local family, who recently had one of their own diagnosed with stage three lung cancer.
The "Cancer to Wellness" benefit included food, music and raffle prizes to help out the Green family from East Peoria.
Charles Green is a husband, father and grandfather and now his family is facing mounting medical bills.
They reached out to friends and loved ones for help, and family friend Pam Crow said she she's happy to see so many people standing by their side.
"It makes me ecstatic, we've had so many donations from everyone and the turnout is wonderful so far. I'm sure that we'll get more and more as the day goes by," Crow said.
