Updated: February 11, 2013

An elementary school in Canton was put on temporary lockdown Monday morning as police
apprehended a St. David man. According to a release from Canton police, the 42 year old man
was considered suicidal and may be in possession of weapons. Police say the suspect had also
indicated threats against police or any emergency personnel who attempted to make contact
with him. Lincoln Elementary School was close to the house where police thought the suspect
was located and as a precaution the school was put on lockdown. The suspect was apprehended
as he left that house.
