Pekin Man Charged in Peoria Robbery Attempt

PEORIA- A Pekin man was charged Monday with a robbery attempt. Police say 23 year old
Brian Cornwell, Junior tried to steal a woman's purse as she was leaving the Peoria Civic
Center Saturday night. The victim's husband chased Cornwell and was able to retrieve his wife's
purse. Police claim they found a pink cell phone in Cornwell's possession at the time of his arrest.
A judge set bond Monday at $15,000.
