East Peoria Repairing Roads

EAST PEORIA
- East Peoria is putting $1 million toward road repairs.
The repairs
were approved in Tuesday night's city council meeting.
Public
Works Director Steve Ferguson said the repairs consist of patching up holes,
filling in cracks, and pavement markings.
He said the weather we're
having is an example of why the roads need yearly upkeep. "Even though we're
not having a lot of snow, or a lot of salt and moisture getting on there right
now, the freeze and thaw cycle is really hard on the streets."
Ferguson said work will begin this spring.
