Semi Accident Leaves Power Lines on SUV, Driver Trapped

PEORIA COUNTY - A scary situation for one driver at the scene of a bizarre accident tonight.
Police say around 8:30 p.m. Thursday a semi truck attempted to make a narrow turn on Mossville Road and clipped power lines connected to a transformer.
The downed lines landed on a car with the driver trapped inside. Peoria County police were able to get the driver to safety.
CILCO assisted on scene and worked to restore power to the area as quickly as quickly as possible.
