Peoria Mom Sentenced for Murder

A Peoria mom was sentenced to 29 years in prison Friday for murdering her baby two years ago, according to court officials. Astria Pollard was convicted of murder and involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of two month old Javier. Authorities claim Pollard turned off the baby's apnea monitor which caused the judge to find Pollard guilty of murder but he found her guilty of involuntary manslaughter for allegedly starving the child.
