Gas Prices at Historic High for Thanksgiving

While motorists may be giving thanks for recent lower gas prices in Central Illinois, prices will remain at historic highs on Thanksgiving day., according to GasBuddy. com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. DeHaan is estimating the national average will be $3.43 per gallon on Thanksgiving, some 10 cents higher than it was a year ago. In Peoria, gasoline prices currently stand at an average of $3.47 per gallon, compared to last Thanksgiving, when prices stood at an average of $3.26 per gallon.
