Bloomington Police Nab 88 in Speeding Detail

Bloomington Police issued 88 citations Monday as part of a traffic enforcement detail at South Main and Veterans Parkway. Police spent one and a half hours on South Main in the area of Woodrig and Brigham Roads and issued 32 citations. The highest violator was 72 mph in a 45mph zone. Meantime, 56 citations were issued on Veterans Parkway with the highest violator caught doing 80 MPH in a 45 mph zone. Most of the violators police say were traveling in excess of 65mph .
