East Peoria PD Urges Safety When Black Friday Shopping

EAST PEORIA-- Black Friday is less than a week away and staying safe is a priority for Police.
East Peoria Police Chief Richard Ganschow says being aware of your surroundings when entering and exiting shopping centers is a must.
He says when shopping at night, being with someone else is always better.
Parking in well lit areas and having your keys ready to get in your car will reduce the amount of time shuffling around in the parking lot.
He says as soon as you get in your vehicle, lock the doors.
