Bloomington Man Held for Bank Robbery

A Bloomington man was arrested just minutes after a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon in Bloomington. Police say 49 year old Clifton Smith was taken into custody about ten minutes after the Commerce Bank on North Center Street was held up. Police say the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money but no weapon was displayed. The suspect fled with cash and when arrested, police say, he said, you got me. Authorities say they also recovered money believed taken in the holdup.
