Man In Jail After Bartonville Stabbing

BARTONVILLE- A man is in the hospital after he was stabbed Monday night at his Bartonville home and police say a suspect is in custody.
Forty-eight-year-old Adam Babcock is in jail booked on attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon and disorderly conduct. He has yet to be formally charged.
Police say 49-year-old Gregory Purcell was found with multiple stab wounds to his head, neck and chest. He got into a fight at his home and then drove to a nearby gas station for help where police found him.
Police say Purcell was taken to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria and that he is now stable.
