Salvation Army Kicks Off Annual Tree Of Lights Campaign

PEORIA, IL --
The salvation army is asking for your help in taking action for those less fortunate this holiday season.
The salvation army kicked off the 26th Annual Tree of Lights Campaign at Northwoods Mall.
The campaign has raised just under 189-thousand dollars.
This year's goal total is one point six-seven million dollars.
The kick-off included the lighting of the big indoor tree at Northwoods.
Funds raised through the tree of lights campaign support activities and programs year-round.
The salvation army hopes the Tri-County community can come together to meet this year's goal despite a tough financial economy.
