Peoria Murder Suspect Pleads Guilty

A Peoria man, whose first murder trial resulted in a mistrial, pleaded guilty Monday to murder just before his retrial was to begin. 21 year old Davon Renfro was charged with the Christmas week 2010 beating death of Todd Gunter. Police say the beating happened outside of Peoria's Griswold Liquors on the city's south side. Authorities at the time called the city's 21st homicide of the year, a random act of violence. Renfro will be sentenced September 21st.
