PEORIA-The Peoria City Council will vote on using tax dollars to reimburse the mark twain hotel for some construction costs.
The hotel is in the city's hospitality improvement zone.
A special tax is collected in the zone that is meant to help hotels pay for upgrades.
The mark twain hotel is asking for about $11,000 dollars to cover upgrades it made to mattresses, shower doors and other items in its guest rooms. The city council will vote on the matter at its Tuesday night meeting.
