Peoria Council to Vote Tuesday on Mark Twain Hotel Construction Costs

PEORIA-The Peoria
City Council will vote on using tax dollars to reimburse the mark twain hotel
for some construction costs.
The hotel is in the
city's hospitality improvement zone.
A special tax is
collected in the zone that is meant to help hotels pay for upgrades.
The mark twain hotel
is asking for about $11,000 dollars to cover upgrades it made to mattresses,
shower doors and other items in its guest rooms. The city council will vote on
the matter at its Tuesday night meeting.
