PEORIA- Some local nursing students are taking action for Easter Seals.
The students, from Illinois Central College, have been busy raising money. Friday at Easter Seals they handed over a $400 check.
Along with family bowling, the students said they had a 50-50 drawing. They said that instead of keeping their half, the winners donated 100 percent of the prizes.
Allison Weber represents her class and got to pick where the money went. She said the choice was easy; one of her peers has a son who is an Easter Seals patient.
"We told her and just the glow on her face was very inspiring," Weber said.
The nurses said they hope to do more fundraising next year.
