WMBD/WYZZ-TV -- PEORIA, Ill. -- It's hard to remember the last time the Chiefs surrendered a run.

Michael Jensen tossed five scoreless innings as the Chiefs blanked Cedar Rapids 2-0 at O'Brien Field Thursday night. The victory was the third consecutive shutout for Peoria.

The Chiefs posted three consecutive shutouts only one other time in franchise history: July 19-21, 2007. Jensen (6-2) struck out seven and lowered his team best earned run average to 2.32.

Felix Pena (two innings) and Hunter Cervenka (two innings) provided the relief for Jensen. The three Peoria pitchers combined to strike out 14 hitters.
