BLOOMINGTON - More than 40 artists are leaving their mark on downtown Bloomington.
They're painting a mural on the side of the Chocolatier building on Main St.
The mural is broken up into sections, one for each artist. There's no theme, so they can each paint what they want.
The idea came out of the Downtown Bloomington Association's design committee. Members wanted a way to show off all the area has to offer.
Artist and gallery owner Joann Goetzinger said people don't often know what they can do in downtown Bloomington.
"Anything we can get to draw people down here to find out the stores that are here, the galleries and studios that are here, all the things that are here for people to do," she said.
Frontier Communications is part of the mural as well. It donated the wall since it owns the Chocolatier building.
There is no timeline for the mural to be finished.
