PEORIA- Swimming pools and fountains aren't the only places staying busy this weekend. What would Memorial Day be without something to throw on the grill?
At Hyvee in Peoria, registers are busy with people buying all sorts of meat. The butcher's shop says it's having to restock its supply twice as fast compared to a regular day.
And one customer says it wouldn't be a holiday weekend without the chance to cook out.
"Without the grill it's not as enjoyable. I like to have all my food cooked on the grill. So you know, stay outside. Don't go inside unless you have to," said Robert Schact.
Hyvee says the nice weather is helping business as well. It only sells more meat during Fourth of July.
