A Pekin man, who reportedly led police on a high speed chase last December was sentenced Friday to 8 years in prison. 33 year old James Banks was convicted by a jury of possession of a stolen car, aggravated fleeing and unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle. Those charges stem from an incident in mid December. Police say they attempted to stop Banks on a routine traffic violation when they say he fled. He was finally captured near Washington and South Tenth Streets.
