PEORIA- A new mystery novel has some connections to Peoria.
Author Clare O'Donahue held a book signing today for her novel, "Life Without Parole."
Without giving away too much... The book tells the story of a television producer working in the River City.
Avanti's Italian Restaurant gets a shout out. O'Donahue says she wanted readers to get a true sense of the area.
"Oh, I think it's always fun when people recognize something in their lives in a book. And it makes it especially important to get it right. You know because people will email and say gosh that's not what you said it was or that's not what they do there," O'Donahue said.
O'donahue is a Bradley alum and lives in Chicago. This was the last stop on her national book tour. The book hit shelves in April.
