Some McLean Co. Officeholders Pay Frozen

Four McLean County office holders won't be getting any pay raises until 2016. According to our news partner WJBC Radio and information provided by McLean County, the county board Tuesday voted to set raises between one and two percent for the circuit clerk, coroner, auditor and recorder in 2016 but their salaries remain frozen until then. The county board also voted to give the chairman an annual salary of $9382 effective next year and 2014. The chairman will also receive additional compensation of a monthly $200 mileage and business expense allowance. The circuit clerk will make $94,905 next year; the coroner, county auditor and county recorder will make $90,386 next year.The county board also okayed a state grant to extend the Route 66 bike path from Towanda to Lexington.
