Peoria Unveils Plan For Garbage Cart Distribution

Peoria, IL -- City leaders in Peoria are shedding some light on the garbage cart program.  The city is answering questions about the delivery of new garbage containers.  Forty thousand residents in the River City will start receiving the new carts.  Distribution starts on the south end tomorrow and the city will work its way north.  It will take three to six weeks for all the new containers to be dropped off.  The units will contain new serial numbers and bar codes that will be assigned to a residence.  The city says the new program will be a success.
