EAST PEORIA - This is a big weekend for graduations across the country.
But we bet no one has graduation story quite like the Nunley family from Mackinaw...the family is now made up of three new nurses.
Tanna Nunley always wanted to be a nurse.  But being a parent happened first.
Tanna says, "I've always known I wanted to do it.  But I was always busy raising them."
When her two daughters decided THEY wanted to go to nursing school, she decided she should take a crack at it...or rather....THEY thought she should crack a crack it at.
Tanna says, "They stole my social security number, got on to the ICC website, set me up with a Blackboard.  The next thing you know, I was registered for classes."
Daughter Nicole,  "She always hinted around that she wanted to go back for something - getting bored with what she was doing - she wanted to go do something different."
Four years later - the three finished up school and can say they are nursing school graduates, getting their pins all on the same day.  Tanna and daughter Nicole from Illinois Central College and daughter Katie from Saint Anthony's in Rockford.
Tanna says, "I'm just excited.  I re-educated myself for a different career for many other reasons."
The three helped each other throughout school, which they say played a big role in getting to graduation.
Nicole says, "I would say nursing school is the most trying thing I've ever done, and it helped to have someone to lean on, cry to, laugh with about things."
Daughter Katie says, " - All through High School, my mom was always "You can't quit.  you can't do this.  You can't do that."  But now, she had to go through it, and it was fun."
Tanna says, " It's been awesome being in school with the,.  They know what I'm talking about.  I know what they're going through."
And now,  that means life as a nurse.  So if you see one at the hospital, chances are, the other two won't be that far behind.
Katie says, "I'd love to work with them.  I think that'd be a really fun experience working all together."
Nicole says, " It'd be nice to spread our wings and fly different directions, but it would also be cool if we all had the same experience."
And something else the trio has in common...
They're all hoping land jobs in the Intensive Care Unit.
