Kentucky Derby Gallops to Peoria

Horse racing fans in Central Illinois are bringing the Kentucky Derby to our neck of the woods.
The Alzheimer's Association is hosting a derby party at the Peoria Country Club tonight.
Every aspect of the race is celebrated... from the outlandish hats... the bourbon... and the southern cuisine!
Guests can also get their pictures taken with a race horse.
The goal to is for everyone to feel like they are at Churchill Downs.
Nikki Vulgaris of the Alzheimer's Assocation says, "This is the fourth annual Kentucky Derby event. We do it every year on race and we recreate the environment that someone would see at the Derby."
All the money raised goes to research and resources for families with loved ones affected by Alzheimer's.
