Man Hit by Car, Thrown into Tree

BLOOMINGTON--A local man is recovering from several injuries after a hit and run downtown.
It happened just before two this morning in downtown Bloomington.
Police say the man had been jaywalking between Washington and Main Streets when a car hit him.
The force threw him into a nearby tree.
The car didn't stop.
Police say the man has several broken bones, but his injuries are not life threatening.
The vehicle in question is a light colored four door car.
Officers are reviewing street camera video to further their investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bloomington Police at 434-2371.
