Two people, arrested after police found a working meth lab in their motel room, were formally charged Friday. 28 year old Michael Jones of East Peoria and 22 year old Courtney Ewing of Peoria Heights are each charged with aggravated meth manufacturing and meth manufacturing. Their bond is set at 100 thousand dollars each. The pair was arrested by East Peoria police early Thursday morning after police responded to a domestic call at the Super 8 Motel. Authorities say they found a meth lab in one of the rooms. The state police meth response team was called to assist in safely disposing of the lab.
