BLOOMINGTON-People
of all ages are getting ready for a big show happening in the Twin Cities for
the first time.
32 local
skaters, ranging in ages from five to adults, are preparing for the Ice Fever
Extravaganza at the Pepsi Ice Center this Saturday.
It is a
show for skaters to show off their talent and hard work. The show covers all
skill levels from basic skating to landing a triple lutz.
The theme
for the night is Disco and a few guest stars from ISU's figure skating team
will also perform.
As the show gets closer,
performers are getting anxious.
Skating Director, David
McGrouther said, "Last few days they've been
coming in more to practice and they're getting very enthusiastic about what
they're doing to do. I think it's been a really good thing for them to have a
goal, something to work towards. It should be a good show."
If all goes well, the skating
director plans on having a fall and Christmas show as well. Tickets are $5 in
advance, $7 at the door.
