April Sales Down at Mitsubishi Motors

April car sales are down nearly 35 percent at Mitsubishi Motors, according to a news release from the company Tuesday. However, the company believes the sales slump is temporary and not surprising and blames it on the end of production of the Endeavor, Eclipse and Spyder . Mitsubishi reports sales for the year are down 22.5 percent after four months. The company will begin building the Outlander Sport in July in Normal and its sales are up 3 percent for the year. Meanwhile, Mitsubishi sold 79  new electric "i" cars in April and a coast to coast rollout of the new vehicle is slated for this fall.
