Students
in Sterling school's pre-kindergarten program have been working all month long
to raise money for Saint Jude.
To
celebrate their efforts, the children got to ride tricycles today. Teachers
involved in the fundraiser say it has taken on special meaning for them because
one of the students is proof the work Saint
Jude does saves lives.
Mother of a cancer
child survivor, LaKisha Edwards, said, "It actually feels wonderful
for Nene, we call her Nene, it stopped her from walking and talking so her just
up able to just ride the bike and just enjoy herself, just to have fun with her
friends.
The pre-k students
at Sterling are hoping to raise $2,0000 for Saint Jude.
