People in the city will still have to
wait a little longer to find out new Peoria City Council boundaries, but
the redistricting committee narrowed
down to four maps tonight.
The council members will meet again
and pick one to present to council.
Council will then get it on their
agenda a week from next Tuesday
Sticking points of the re-drawn
districts are representation on the city's south side and overall population growth.
3rd District Council
Member, Tim Riggenbach said, "As the discussions have gone on and on, more
voices have been heard. We've got the community's of interest and the
prospective population as the things that keep on resonating with this group."
The council has to pick a new map by October
of this year.
