Illinois State University In Running to Host IHSA 2013 High School Football Finals

BLOOMINGTON-The
Illinois High School Association is looking for a new host for the state
high school football finals in 2013.
Our Twin Cities
news partner WJBC reports that three schools have put in applications.
Illinois
State University, Northern University in Dekalb, and Southern Illinois
University in Carbondale.
Scheduling
conflicts prompted the assocation to find a new place in alternating seasons.
All three
schools met the 12,000 seat minimum requirement.
Illinois
State's upcoming renovations to the Hancock Stadium will hold about 14,000
seats.
IHSA plans
to visit each college and present a recommendation for the board of directors
on June 11th.
